It’s been just over 5 years since we first introduced the Carbon Aero Bolt-On.
What started out as an idea to add an additional hand position and comfort to 31.8 Handlebars has evolved significantly since then.
During the 5 year period we also added products to the complete handlebar category, offering handlebars ( the Aero Gravel, Aero Drop & Aero MTB ) for both styles of riding – those being dropbar riders and mountain bikers.
Whilst the original concept was all about keeping things compact and lightweight, the demands and growth of Gravel / Adventure / Bikepacking events has certainly evolved too.
What we have developed here is our evolution of the original Bolt-On concept…
Available in 2 versions, catering for a mixed variety of riders and bike setups. The options are almost unlimited in terms of usage and combinations with our other existing products.
Extender Large : This is the longer version and can be used individually or combined with Aero Gravel / Aero Drop / Aero MTB. These are also compatible with both versions of our Armrest Kit.
Extender Medium : This is the shorter version but even more versatile in application. Run this as an inner bar-end or combined with
Aero Gravel / Aero Drop / Aero MTB.
Note : Both products feature the 31.8mm clamps used on the Aero Bolt-On family and can be converted to 22.2mm size clamping
via the new Alloy Shim-Set.
This Medium version can be used as an Inner Bar-End or as a Mini Aerobar. By combining them with our selection of Aero Handlebars and using the 22.2mm shim-set the possibilities are endless. The new Bolt-On Bridge is also compatible with this version and could be added to create an extremely compact and lightweight aerobar setup for MTB or Dropbar use.
